Just a bit...

Ok, so the couple from out of town are coming to see the house again. They will be here Sunday afternoon. I really should clean up, but I think I will wait until tomorrow to do that, so I won't have to do it twice. I have a good feeling about these people. Could they be the ones?

As excited as I am to be moving soon, I know I am going to miss my friends. I am blessed with some good friends here. On the bright side, hey, you guys have a place to go for vacation now. hahaha

Tim got my bike out and cleaned it up for me. I have not rode it in a long time. Savanna and I went for a bike ride yesterday. It was fun. And yes, it is true, you do not forget how to ride a bike.

No deep thoughts today. You can quote me on that. Trace, sorry I didn't answer the phone, I live in a house full of girls and to get a chance to use the phone is almost impossible. Send a homing pigeon next time. haha

The East From The West

I don't know about you, but I like to be reminded just how great and merciful God is and how much greater His mercy is than my sins.

Who Am I

Hi Guys,
This video is self explanatory. My cousin sent this to me. It is black lights and gloves. This is an encouraging video, about truth. Enjoy.

The Full Monte

Ok, just a quick note before I run out to get Alex her stuff for church camp.

Tim and I watched a hilarious movie last night. The Full Monte. It was hilarious! I have seen it before as I was channel surfing and never watched it, because honestly, I thought it would be a stupid movie, but I laughed so hard.

So, if you are in the need of a good laugh, or a way to earn some extra income, haha, watch The Full Monte.

No Title 4 This 1

Ok, so I am sitting here watching Dante's Peak, with Charles Bronson and Linda Hamilton. I chuckle to myself, because I remember when I first saw this I thought it was a good movie. I guess it still is, in a cheesy kinda way. hahaha Oh no! Wait! Charles left his transmitter in the truck, now they are in an old mine, which conveniently is the little boys "fort". How are people going to find them without that transmitter? Oh, the suspense. I can't take it. Hurry Charles, get the transmitter, while Linda gets some rope to tie up Ruffy the dog and then they will get some water and clean their cuts. Oooops, rock slide, will they make it? I will stop here, because I do not want to ruin the movie for you.

I was given a gift of a poem today. A guest from work wrote it for me. It has been a long time since I had a poem just for me. It was very nice.

The weather here today was absolutely beautiful. I was off from work, so I took Savanna and her friend swimming. Alex went to her friends house. A kid swap kind of thing. Anyhoot, it was so relaxing to sit in the sun and read. DW, I am past the halfway mark in the book.

I am currently reading The Kite Runner, by Khaled Hosseini. It is very well written. It was also made into a movie if you want to cheat, but books are so much better. the main characters are two young boys, and the father and their life in Afghanistan before the war. It is well written, with detail and passion, I give it a two thumbs up and recommend it for a good summer read.

No buyers for the house yet. Another couple is coming tomorrow to see the house. Will someone please make an offer? Anyone?

Fireworks

We had a fantastic time yestarday in Pittsburg. First, we went to the zoo, and that is always such an educational experience. The last time we were there the kids got to see how baby elephants are made, this time we got to witness an otter swim right past the window, displaying his manhood for everyone to see. That is all I got to say about that. Yikes!

There were alot of people at the zoo. The weather was actually quite nice. Only an occassional drizzle, not hot.

Then we went to the three rivers to a festival. There was a boat race, concerts, food and lots of people. The fireworks were spectacular! It was a laser show and firworks and the army band played. It was the best I have ever seen. They set them off from a boat in the river.

As I watched the fireworks, I wondered how many people actually know what the celebration was for. I mean, it is not about picnics and fireworks, but our freedom, the birth of our nation. Makes me happy to be an American.

Well, I do have to go to work today and Tim grilled some lunch so I can eat with the family before I go in. So the dinner bell is ringing, must go now.

Happy 4th of July

Happy Independence Day. Hope you have some fun festivities today. Looks like rain here, but that is not going to stop us, no way.

As you are having your picnics, or whatever you have planned, or not, take a moment today and think about the freedom that we have here in the USA and be thankful. Even more importantly, meditate on the freedom that we have in Christ, because who He set free is free indeed.

Just Me

I can't believe it is almost the 4th of July! Can you? Where does the time go? Is summer really here?

Hope everyone has some fun plans to celebrate the 4th. We are going to take the girls to the zoo and then find somewhere to watch fireworks. I can't wait. I love trips to the zoo. I remember one time taking the kids to the zoo and they got to witness how baby elephants are made. Let me tell ya, it was an educational trip. Yikes!

Speaking of the 4th, the celebration of our Independence, I have a question for you, are you registered to vote and do you vote? I am amazed how many people are not registered and do not vote. There are people dying for the freedom to vote. There were people who died for our freedom to vote.

The argument seems to be, what can one vote do? Does it really matter? Well heck yea it matters! One vote? Multiply that by a few million and it adds up. Does your vote count? Does it matter? Duh! We are not voting for a dictatorship you know, it does not stop after you pull the lever at the polls, we still have a responsibility to hold our elected officials accountable.

Obamas campaign is kicking off a registration drive on July 4th. So, if you are not registered, get registered and then see to it that your friends are registered. It does matter.

Ok, I am finished my tangent.

Looks like rain today. I am taking girls out for lunch today before I get ready for work.

House is still on market, but I really believe we will have an offer soon. Melissa Watson of Long and Foster is fantastic!
