Proof We Should Not Judge A Book By It's Cover. OMG!

I gotta tell you, I cried when I watched Susan Boyle sing. I just wanted to leap for her! She is so humble and I can't help but to think that God Himself stood right beside her on that stage and smiled over her while everyone who laughed at her was silenced. She quickly won the audience over with favor, now that is the glory to God.

Good Friday

Today is Good Friday.

Pausing to reflect on why this day is Good. This is the day of reflection on what God did for us through His Son Jesus. Think about it, God came in the flesh, loved on us while we spit in His face, forgave us even as we were nailing his hands to the cross.

Think about. He created us because He loves us and wanted to have fellowship with us and His very creation doubted His existence, did not trust Him, so far removed from Him we did not even recognize Him. Yet, He still sacrificed Himself for us. Why?

When we think about His death, it is hard to comprehend the sacrifice that He made for us. I think it is because we can not comprehend Him; not really.

His death on the cross, as horrible as it was, the real celebration is in His Resurrection.

Think about it. He dies, went to Hell snatched the keys that Satan held in His hand, the key to control us, He snatched 'em right out of His hands! Death has been defeated and it is because of His death and His Resurrection that those of us who are in Him will never taste the sting of death. Sure we might die, in the flesh, but He said that when we die, when we are absent in the body we are present with Him. The moment we close our eyes here, we open our eyes in His presence and we will see the face of the One who truly loves us.

Guys, it is hard sometimes to live for Christ here in this world. I don't know about you, but I am constantly being bombarded with temptations, and feelings of anger and I often have to fight to not give up hope. Does this mean He loves me less? No! You see, this is why He had to come in the flesh of man and die for our sins, because if He had not, then there would be no hope for any of us to make it.

Try as we may, we can never be good enough to make it on our own. On the flip side, with His forgiveness, it does not matter what our past is, because when we go to Him for forgiveness, He forgives. He does not forgive like we do, He does not bring it back up when He gets mad. No! He forgives to never remember again. It is as though we have never sinned.

Now that is the death and the Resurrection. That is the hope that we have.

Have a great weekend. Take some time and reflect on what this weekend really means.

I love you guys!
